Welcome to Pocket O’ Posies,

where history, resilience, and fragrance converge in a collection that explores both darkness and beauty.

Our story begins in 2020, at the height of the pandemic, when we (medical workers on the front lines) bore witness to the fragility of life and the relentless presence of death. In those moments of uncertainty and loss, inspiration arrived unexpectedly, in the haunting image of the plague doctors. Cloaked in mystery, they wore beaked masks filled with fragrant herbs and posies, not just to protect against the miasma of disease, but to shield themselves, symbolically and sensorially, from despair.

This idea that scent could serve as armor struck something deep within us. Fragrance, once viewed as comfort or luxury, suddenly took on new meaning: a form of survival. A ritual. A quiet act of defiance.

Drawn to this forgotten corner of olfactory history, we began to explore the roots of fragrance as protection, especially in the context of plague, healing, and spiritual resilience. In a year when survival felt tenuous, scent offered something more than beauty. It became a lifeline to the past, a whisper of hope, and a vessel for transformation.

And from this space, Pocket O’ Posies was born.

Our collection is a reflection of this history, a curated selection of niche fragrances that dwell in the shadows of perfume lore. These are not just scents, but stories. Fragments of survival. Symbols of strength. Each bottle evokes something ancient, sacred, or strange, a connection to those who used scent not merely to smell beautiful, but to endure the unbearable.

We invite you to explore our curated world of fragrance, where scent becomes more than experience, it becomes remembrance, resilience, and revelation.

Whether you’re drawn to the familiar or the enigmatic, each fragrance offers a moment of transformation — a scent remedy beyond the ordinary.

Thank you for walking with us, for honoring beauty in the dark, and for believing in the forgotten power of fragrance.
