Where am I? I'm dreaming or maybe it's reality.

Sogni tells of that moment suspended between dream and reality, that moment when our mind and heart are still in a distant place and we feel lost, confused, as if suspended...
With Sogni I told my love for Japan, my memories of past travels, my passion for Kawabata's literature, Kurosawa's films and bonsai trees.

I tried to tell a new story with a warm woody perfume, my Japanese dream.
One day, a long time ago, I thought or dreamed of being able to create a perfect woody perfume, where the different woods would tell the story of time, of the passing of life itself, again a challenge, a perfume that could be unique, exciting and involving.
Sogni is the realisation of my desire, an immediate experience, incredibly close to reality and the nature of things. Aesthetic devotion to nature.
The opening notes of Sogni is a Tatami wood and Japanese pine needles, we are in an ancient ryokan in Kyoto, and the rain has stopped falling.
A bowl of hot rice is beside us to remind us of the simplicity of life, its purity. Our attention is brought to the nose by the green, clear and transparent note of a bamboo forest, the flowery note of Peony is an emotional haiku.
An instant that preludes the awakening of the soul from the dream.
Finally, the lights of this dawn envelop the woody notes of Sandalwood, Cedar and the typical accord of the Kodo ritual, incense.
A journey into the beauty of Japanese harmony.

Sogni was thought, created and arranged, while listening to the album Async by R. Sakamoto and reading the words of Y. Kawabata, during each of these stages.

Part of the Mystic Trilogy.

A perfume that not only tells of a journey, but celebrates a close link between memory and forgetfulness. Oblivion (L’oblio) is a spiral of stillness. A trip to Cambodia inspired this work. Travel deep into the Olfactory map of Scents ancient and thick with remembrance.

The story the perfumer tells is related to travel, as he says. “we have been doing it since the beginning of our journey, traveling to know, traveling to meet each other and to grasp the different olfactory nuances of the world but also of life and thought.”

Olfactory mandala

Varanasi is an olfactory mandala, where the aquatic, animal and visceral notes of Grey Amber, cradle our soul. The ritual begins with the warm and red spicy notes of Saffron, Nutmeg and Cardamom. A dizzying approach to the floral heart, amulets of Roses and Jasmine, a dusty and woody body of Ambrette and Cypriol. Like a Sadhu covered in white ash, the ritual takes shape among the sacred notes of Nard, Incense and Gurjum.

Spirito” — a quietude scented in memory of Emily.

It begins like one of her verses: barely audible, but eternal. Lavender drifts in first — not the bright kind, but faded, like pressed petals between the pages of a letter never sent. Cypress stands beside it, stoic and mournful, a sentinel of solitude.

There is a hush — chamomile and angelica stir like the breath of dusk through thin curtains, the kind that flutter in Amherst windows where she once sat, ink-stained and unseen. These herbs do not soothe — they suggest, they linger — like the pause at the end of a line she never read aloud.

Beneath, vetiver — the earth itself — cradles the soul, rich and grave-deep. And just before it vanishes, tonka bean offers a sigh: warm, sweet, almost human. Like remembrance. Like the hand of a spirit gently touching your back before it fades.

“Encore du Temps” — a reverie whispered by the hours that no longer pass.

It begins with a breath not of air, but of recollection — green and fig-laced, soft as the moss that clings to forgotten statues. Bergamot glimmers faintly, like sunlight slanting through the cracks of a long-abandoned room. The opening is tender, like waking from a dream you are not ready to leave.

Then, the florals bloom — not in joy, but in silence. Jasmine and magnolia unfold like pressed blossoms in a drawer untouched for years. Osmanthus brings the faintest sweetness, reminiscent of fruit once ripened, now remembered only by scent. It is beautiful — unbearably so — because it knows it is fleeting.

As the perfume settles, time no longer marches but lingers.

Cedar and sandalwood form a structure — not a house, but a memory of one. Musk rises like a forgotten letter, and amber hums low, golden and warm as a candle burned down to the wick. All is softness, but tinged with loss.

Encore du Temps is not a fragrance. It is a phantom of feeling —

It is night, it is dark, and our mind drifts among wandering thoughts.

Darkness tells of the moments when we search within ourselves for a light.
Darkness is a place, where we experience our feelings.
Darkness is the time of insomnia, where giant monsters will reveal themselves in daylight as small beings.
Darkness is a hope, mine, to let the darkness abandon me.

There were days when my thoughts were everywhere, slowly spinning in my head, only to be stolen by time and fall captive to events.

The first accord created in this perfume was between Cade oil, Carrot seeds, smoky Incense, Cashmeran, and Suederal.

It was here that the courage to change the course of my thoughts, their existence, and my life was born.

In those days, while this perfume was being created, I read books about Shintoism and listened to Nils Frahm.

I weighed each raw material as if they were necessary and fundamental words, like when you search for the right words to tell someone something important about your life; it was my story, my journey, in the darkness.

Smoky and powdery notes open the life of this fragrance, an incense that holds centuries of stories, deep, mysterious, and intimate, the powder of Carrot seeds, and the dark note of Cade.

A dark heart, where the deepest parts of Osmanthus and Peony find refuge among the notes of Geranium and Magnolia, protected by Labdanum absolute and Amber notes.

The base of this story that I have told you is built on the notes of Vetiver, Patchouli, Cedarwood, Sandalwood, Musk, and Leather.

I think I’ve said everything.
It is dark, as far as I can see.
